Visit Haida Gwaii and experience a world of intrigue, a world of adventure and a world of undeniable breathtaking beauty

Located on a series of islands at the most westerly point of Canada, Haida Gwaii is made up of quaint villages, secluded inlets, and white-sand beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see. A place so remote that roads cannot bring you here, yet the warmest of welcomes await once you arrive.

Haida Gwaii is a world class destination for the adventurous traveler.  The accent here is on the great outdoors: the unique temperate rainforest, the pristine beaches, and the renowned Haida culture.  Sportfishing, kayaking, sight-seeing on water and land, whale watching, mountain biking and hiking are all possible.

In December 2009 the BC government officially changed the name of the islands from the Queen Charlotte Islands to Haida Gwaii as part of a historic reconcilliation agreement between the province and the Haida Nation.
