A visit to Haida Gwaii’s wild west coast

Eagle Photography at Copper Bay on Moresby Island

With so many excellent blogs and wonderful photos already provided by others, I’ve decided to focus on an area likely under represented - Copper Bay.  Zipping along on the Copper Bay Mainline from Sandspit it’s easy to miss it, since a glance to the east would lead you to believe you’re passing someone’s back yard.  And that’s exactly what happened to us in our 80's vintage 20' class B motorhome. A Beachcomber’s Blog

Photo: Linda Leitch / Blue Sky Charters The following blog is not easy to read but it is one that is dear to us all. Linda Leitich and Dann Braman are local heros dedicated to clearing tsunami debris from the  beaches within the Naikoon Provincial Park, Rose Spit Ecological Reserve, and the remote shores of western Haida Gwai. These weekend warriors volunteer their time but need help to cover the cost of fuel, supplies and disposal fees. We can help in many ways from joining the clean up effort to making a contribution or even sharing this link online http:/
