Make sure that your visit to Moresby Island and the Gateway to Gwaii Haanas begins at the Sandspit Visitor Centre. Here, visitors will find information about what to see and do in the area, including the world-renowned Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve and Haida Heritage Site.
The Sandspit Visitor Centre staff members are locals with intimate, firsthand knowledge of the area, its culture, peoples and heritage, plus local events, like the Moresby Market, Loggers Sports Day and the Sandspit Wild Harvest Festival. In addition to information about the region, visitors are invited to spend time in the gift shop and take home a souvenir to commemorate their visit to the region.
The Sandspit Visitor Centre is part of the official Tourism BC Visitor Centre Network and is operated by the Sandspit community society.
