Overview

Rustic oceanside campground with views of scenic Rennel Sound and its mountainous backdrop. It is located just south of the Duu Guusd Heritage site and Conservancy

The site is  listed on the Guide to Recreation sites and trails of Haida Gwaii.

Vehicles can drive to the sites, there is a pit toilet and not much else. Pack it in, pack it out, as there is no garbage collection facility nearby.

Note that Rennel sound is remote and hard to access. It is recommended for high clearance and 4wd vehicles. The famous "hill' going down to the sound is a whopping 25% gradient on rough gravel. As you enter Rennel Sound, the campsite is pretty much just at the bottom of that steep "hill".
