North Graham Island Package

Wondering what's included in the two Haida Gwaii trip packages? Let's check out the Northern Graham Island package which begins with round trip transportation provided by Pacific Coastal Airlines.  It also includes: 4 nights accommodation for 2, gift certificates at participating restaurants & shops, entry to the award-winning Haida Heritage Centre & Museum, an exclusive curator tour of the Haida Gwaii Museum, and a Haida Gwaii land or kayak tour. The winner of this package will choose their dates of travel based on service providers' availablity ( trip packages are valid until May 31, 2018).  You will want to book your reservations for travel, accommodation (4 nights included)  and tours as soon as possible!

Transportation:

Pacific Coastal Airlines will provide the winner of this trip package with return transportation from the Vancouver South Terminal to Masset for two adults.

Hiellen Longhouse Village

Located on Haida Nation land and nestled within beautiful Naikoon Park on Northern Haida Gwaii, Hiellen Longhouse Village offers seven traditional style Haida longhouse cabins and a main Haida longhouse. Each has been carefully designed and built to provide comfortable and cozy pet-friendly accommodations on beautiful Haida Gwaii.

Each cozy longhouse has a queen bed and a single bunk bed equipped with sleeping bags and pillows for rent so you don’t have to bring your own. Small longhouses include a gas stove, small fridge, cooking utensils, three piece bathroom, barbeque and a wood-burning fireplace. Located 26 miles out of Old Massett, visitors get an experience that combines the best of both camping and hotel-living in one of the most spectacular locations in Haida Gwaii, complete with sandy beachfront for swimming or beach-side walks.

Dave Hunter / Dave's Custom Carvings

Gift of an original painting by Haida artist, Dave Hunter

Haida artist Dave Hunter tells stories and legends of his Haida ancestry through his original paintings, silver and argillite carvings. Dave is largely self-taught, learning the art of carving first with wood and then moving on to other mediums. Today is he is most renowned for his silver jewellery, which often depicts animals and mythical creatures. Dave is also responsible for the creation of numerous original paintings which have been made into art cards, post cards and limited edition prints. He was the founder of the Haida Raven Gallery in Masset, a gallery dedicated to promoting the works of Haida artists. Dave’s work has been exhibited and sold in various galleries and venues throughout Haida Gwaii and beyond for more than three decades. Dave is available for custom and commission work.
